说出心声

要输得起

何况也没什么好比

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
明天不想上课, 希望此决定没错.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

好久没写华文字了

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
圣诞节快到了
~~~~~~~~~

很想念当初

~~~~~~~~
人类好复杂
~~~~~~~~

请请你不要拖

请你不要拖

请你请你别拖

可讲的也请你讲

讲到底也讲

让我不再绝望

...

这首歌不断地在我脑海里播

Friends for Life

Lye Quan, me and Wai Kiat

They say that friends are for life and I cannot possibly agree more.

It was until the Form 3 that I became close to the duo. The events that sparked our friendship seemed to me like it happened just yesterday.

I got to know Lye Quan when she became my classmate. As it went from hi-byes to small chats, she suggested that we travel to school together.

You see, those days I took the LRT to school. And so every morning, at 6.30 am, I would wait for them at the Cempaka LRT station.

Soon I got to know Wai Kiat and we became close almost immediately. I think one sure factor for drawing 2 individuals together is the fact that they live nearby.

Despite living rather close to each other, our transport home was different. The duo would take the Intrakota bus no. 56 or Cityliner bus no.848. Whilst I would take the Intrakota bus no. 60C.

Soon (Perhaps desperate for company), I was taking the same buses as them. For that, I had to walk a journey of almost 20 minutes to get back home. Compare this to the 60C bus which stops just across my house. (See the lengths I go to make friends, yea I know, Desperado)

It was during these journeys that we started to get to know one another better. I was closer to Wai Kiat, as I found it easier to talk to him. Quite expectedly, rumors about our 'love affair' started to spread like wild fire. But of course, I knew better.

I still remember how I was almost a fan of his. He was like the smartest guy in school (1st in school for 5 consecutive years) , yet he was still so humble and down-to-earth. Furthermore, he was also really nice. There were countless times where his dad had provided me with free rides home.

This goes the same for Lye Quan. Her dad too was my part-time driver. Besides that, she does help me a lot with stuffs about my studies and of course with the prefectorial board.

Well, we did had our arguments. There were times that they weren't too happy with my leadership style and we sure did some hurtful things. But in the end, bygones remained bygones.

Our cruise trip was such a bittersweet memory. We had such a long talk on things we dislike about one another and those big secrets we have kept hidden all along were finally revealed.

As we parted our own separate way, the duo for The Land Down Under leaving me all alone, we are never as close as we were. Indeed we do make time for one another, but it isn't the same anymore. Now that they're back, I shall cherish every moment to bring back the good old days.

Fonts

Just wanted to check with you guys ... Was my font too small previously ? It looked fine on my laptop, but when seen in another computer, it was a total torture to my eyes. So is it better now? Or is it too large ?

Personal Branding

I attended the AIESEC meeting the other day. The focus of the day was personal branding.

We were divided into groups. Briefly, we were introduced to one another. After that, we each wrote down our first impressions of one another.

The general first impressions they had of me was: confident, problem-solver, tough, smart and cool (just because of my nose ring, means no nose ring, not cool lah?)

Moo-Moo

See the resemblance ?

The thing is, those preconceived notions of me are completely untrue. (except that I'm exceptionally smart lah) I'm not confident, not a problem solver, not tough (I cry rather easily actually), not smart and definitely not cool.

How looks can be deceiving right? So don't judge a book by its cover.

Today, a friend of mine asked me about an assignment. She was left in utter disbelieve when I told her that I've only just started my assignment. In fact, I suspect she thinks that I'm actually being a fish monger. But the truth is, I am NOT LYING.

It is rather uplifting to know that she finds it almost impossible to believe that I'm lazy, yet extremely upsetting to realize that the laziness and procrastination attitude within me remain the same.

I hope that one day the impression I leave could match the person I truly am.

On another note, I was inspired deeply when I saw you dance during the meeting.

You could dance so whole-heartedly, without any worries of being ridiculed.

Just enjoy the moment, be simple, don't think.

Jogoya the 2nd

Yes, it's my 2nd visit to Jogoya. This time around, I had my Confucian clan (Yeah from the confused school) as my escort. It was to celebrate Naoki's 21st Birthday.

Clockwise: Naoki, Pei Sie, Sook Wei & Jiun Guang

I got to meet up with a couple of friends which I haven't been seeing since er ... graduation ? Benn De Silva & Xin Hong. I didn't take any pictures with them though, cause it seemed kinda weird.

Bloody thin

Anyway, got to catch up with Benn. He isn't studying anymore, currently working in some IT firm doing internet marketing.

It feels kinda funny you know ? It's like previously we were all doing the same thing, struggling for SPM, and then suddenly here comes graduation and everyone's going on their own separate ways.

Firstly established friends in Form 1

I still remember the time when we went to watch Pirates of the Carribean together. It was only a couple of days before SPM. And it felt great ! My mum certainly didn't know that I was watching movies in Leisure Mall after classes.

'Gau nam lui'

Ok ... so back to Jogoya.

Coconuts anyone ?

Jogoya is a buffet style restaurant. I went for the dinner session which begins at 5pm and ends at 9.30pm. For this, it costs RM 88++ each, coming up to around RM 100.

One thing unique about Jogoya is that instead of having all the foods readily made, there are certain cuisines you could place order on and it will be sent to your table as soon as it is ready.

You place these clips on the designated plates, and the hot & delicious cuisines would be specially made and sent to you.

Food was exquisite as usual. Too much to choose from & too much for my stomach to handle. I'll just show you the pictures I took.

My fave: Cheese Baked Oysters

Something I ordered, looks nice but I don't quite like the taste

King Crab in XO soup

King Crab in a different soup. Taste like 'Chee Cheong Fun's' Kari Sauce if you ask me.

Japanese Pizza

Pineapple Prawn Rolls

Now to desserts ...

Cheese cakes

All you can eat Haagen Daz ice cream

I wanted to go for the RM 33.80 Haagen Daz buffet previously, but sadly couldn't. Well, this has certainly been a great replacement.

When is your turn ?

07 November, 2007

As you wish ...

Since you so muka tebal leave the message already ...

I'll let your dreams come true by giving you this present.

So priceless right ? A whole post in MY BLOG wishing you Happy Birthday !

Thank you for being a friend I could confide in ... I know I can be pretty sensitive at times that you have so much 'singings' to listen to ...

Happy Birthday !

November 2nd

It was a birthday unlike any other. I thought that I was attending a birthday party, but it turned out quite different.

It was an
engagement party !

Our arrival was greeted with a door gift and the honor of signing the guestbook. A little extravagant for a birthday party right ? What to do, it's her 21st birthday mah !

Her guest list include a total of 150 people but only 80 ++ arrived safe and sound. The others were involved in a huge car accident and ... sadly didn't make it. 'Choi' ! Kidding, kidding.

Well, quite a number of my classmates attended, surprisingly. Cause most of them are those 'hi, bye' friends, so their attendance were quite unexpected, at least to me. It was really nice of them.

Food was served in the usual buffet style. Zin Mun was so hungry she could have eaten a whole cow.

Lip Sin was exceptionally excited that day. Wonder whether it's the scrumptious food or something ? One thing for sure, he sure ate a LOT !

Then came the birthday song/make-a-wish session ... Pictures speak a thousand words.

Then ...

Finally, after much persuasion, Wei Hoe had no choice but to submit to the pressure.

And the proposal was a success !

Haha ... Of course that totally did not happen. But the atmosphere and line of programs really made it seem like an engagement party.

Our gift to Yee Joo was the Jadore perfume, which cost us a bom ! But it was totally worth it ! The surprised and fond expression made it all that worthwhile.

After the party, we went clubbing at Laundry and had a 'yumcha' session at Murni. Well not exactly clubbing for me, as I was just standing around. Christine & Zin Mun tried to make me dance along, but well, I guess it's just not me.

I don't understand why people like clubbing that much, I just feel so out of place. Maybe cause I'm shy ?

Yee Joo had Flaming Lamborghini. It was so hot she was burning !

Hope you had a great birthday Yee Joo !
